U7 Director's Role
Canterbury’s IP Director’s Roles/Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as member of the Canterbury Hockey Association’s Executive
- Oversee the operations of both U7A and U7B programs
- Act as a mentor to U7 managers as well as provide guidance for instructors and trainers
- Ensure all equipment is given to managers to disseminate amongst groups at start of season and collected at end of season
- Liaison with managers regarding group concerns, player/parent concerns
- Liaison between Initiation Program and Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA)
- Make decisions with regards to U7 operations such as personnel placement, team development and schedule
- Provide leadership in the areas of volunteer communication, conduct and representation of the CHA
- Organize and provide opportunities for special events and fun day activities for the CHA Initiation program
- Provide group support when necessary during on and off ice sessions
