Respect in Sport Program for Parents
All players must have at least one parent/guardian complete the RIS-P prior to the start of the season (i.e. the first ice time).  This is a one time requirement and program completion will be attached to the player’s Hockey Canada profile.  Once completed, multiple children can be linked to the course.Respect in Sport-Parent Program
Contact the Registrar (for U9 and above) or the U7 Coordinator  to obtain Program Access Instructions that include a unique url and a registrarion code to cover the cost of the program.

What is the Respect in Sport-Activity Leader Program?
This is a separate course that evolved from the “SpeakOut” program that was previously in place.   All volunteers must complete RIS-AL. Course completion is registered on the individual volunteer’s Hockey Canada Profile. Volunteers that are pre-approved may register for the course and apply for reimbursement upon successful completion of the course. The program is taken online at a cost which will be covered by Canterbury Hockey Association.Only one parent per family should complete the course, even if you have more than one child registered in hockey. A second parent can follow along and this is highly encouraged, but CHA only has budgetted to pay for only one parent per player. |
